Mycoprotein regulation continues to progress in Asia and Europe:
Fushine Biotech, a Chinese company, received regulatory approval in China for use in food.
The Protein Brewery, a Dutch startup, received a positive scientific opinion from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) confirming the safety of Fermotein. Comment: this is quite noticeable as it is the first biomass fermentation startup to receive regulatory approval in Europe for its protein, enabling to test products on the market.
Parima (France): Regulatory approval in Singapore for its cultivated chicken, becoming the first European company cleared to sell cultivated meat globally.
