Two precision fermentation startups, Vivici (Netherlands, a JV between Fonterra and DSM, dairy proteins) and The EVERY Co (US, egg proteins), partnered with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office to explore building a 4M-litre facility in the UAE.
The site would be multi-tenanted, support exports to Asia, Africa and Europe, and help establish a regulatory framework for fermented proteins.

Comment: this confirms the emerging trend of Gulf countries supporting precision fermentation capacity building through their sovereign funds.
