Alternative protein investment update: Q4 2025

• The Good Food Institute (GFI) published its Q4 2025 investment update for the alternative protein ecosystem (see table below).
• Alternative protein companies raised $207M in Q4 2025, bringing 2025 funding to $734M.
• In 2025, plant-based companies raised $302M ($56M in Q4), fermentation $357M ($113M), and cultivated meat and seafood $74M ($38M), with funding rising for plant-based and declining for fermentation and cultivated segments.
